Classroom Tools插件描述

A browser tool to help focus attention spans  create novel learning experiences.

These tools build upon the masking features of interactive whiteboard software, giving you me choice in how you show the web in your teaching  tuting.

The three features allow you to:

1. Create adjustable masks on top of a web page to hide  reveal content on the page. 

2. Remove unwanted elements on a web page such as distractions, advertisements, superfluous text  images.

3. Live edit text on a web page. 

Whether adding to the content on a page  taking it away, hiding distractions  revealing secrets, we wanted to create a versatile tool f presenting the web.

You could:

    • Hide marketing images  remove irrelevant infmation from a page
    • Add you own facts, infmation, teachings to a web page on the fly
    • Misspell wds  change grammar  play a game of spot the mistakes
    • Unclutter a web page befe taking a screenshot
    • Slowly reveal infmation on a page as  when you need it
    • Use the window mask as a spotlight on images
    • Combine all three tools to edit  present a page the way you want to
      
We hope you’ll find many uses f it, finding fun in creative ways we haven’t thought of!

Please Note:
The changes this teaching tool makes to a web page are local to your browser  can be reset by refreshing the page. Also, this extension currently doesn’t wk well with PDFs  videos due to the way browsers display them. 


Using Classroom Tools to Block Sensitive Content

We advise against using the extension as a tool to block  hide sensitive content from children such as on a news site with disturbing images  headlines. Theetically it’s possible f a web page to refresh itself thus unmasking  resetting the page. Consequently, we suggest testing the features on websites first to make sure it behaves as intended.

We know certain sites are avoided/blocked in schools but make a note here f those that may not have these protections in place  be used to this st of consideration with children  the web.
                                

Classroom Tools插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 Classroom ToolsChrome插件v0.0.2版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
