One of todays main security challenges on the web is passwds. You typically have to login at many different sites,  remembering a different passwd f every site is hard. Unftunately one of the sites you use will sooner  later be hacked,  passwds leaked. If that passwd is reused on other sites, the hackers will have access to all your accounts.

The MasterPasswd algithm is stardized. You can find apps f Ios, Android, Windows, Mac  Linux.

One of MasterPasswds strong points is that neither the master  site passwd is sted anywhere. The site passwd is rather generated mathematically every time. This is in clear contrast to many other passwd managers, like Chromes built in passwd manager. If your computer  browser is hacked, solutions where the passwd is sted can give away all your passwds! Similar dangers exists with cloud based solutions.

The MasterPasswd addon can of course co exist with other passwd managers  will stay out of your way until you click the MasterPasswd button. If you chose to uninstall the addon, youll just have to remember the passwds youve generated,  impt them into another passwd manager.

Since passwds in MasterPasswd are mathematically generated, it is impossible to impt other custom passwds into master passwd. They would have to be sted on your computer, which defeats MasterPasswds wking principle. As such, it is convenient to use the Chrome passwd manager f such passwds, until you find a time to switch a site to MasterPasswd.

Also note that when MasterPasswd enters a passwd f you, Chrome will behave like you typed it on the keyboard,  prompt you if you want to save it. You can of course accept this, but your passwds will then be sted  risk being stolen. Id therefe suggest to reject that offer.

MasterPassword for chrome插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 MasterPassword for chromeChrome插件v2.9.5版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
