Nton Passwd Manager lets you securely manage your passwds  access your favite sites faster. This extension uses permissions that produce the following Chrome messages to perfm necessary functions within the extension. 

“Read  change all your data on the websites you visit”
Shown f permissions needed f supplying passwd manager features to all types of pages you browse.

“Read your browsing histy”
Shown f permissions needed f:
 automatically opening  close new tabs when opening the vault, displaying vault contents,  autochanging a passwd.
 examining webpages you browse to display product controls in the webpage itself (badges in fm fields, popup windows with lists of logins, etc.)

“Modify data you copy  paste”
Shown f permissions needed f giving convenient clipboard usage of userselected vault data (e.g. a logins username  passwd).

“Display notifications”
Shown f permissions needed f showing alerts when imptant changes are happening to a vault  when an err has occurred.

“New background app added
Nton Passwd Manager will launch at system startup  continue to run in the background, even once youve closed all other Google Chrome windows.”
Shown f permission used to keep the extension running in der to quicken startup times  reduce number of times vault authentication is needed.

This extension also uses permissions that are not displayed in Chrome f perfming certain functions within the extension:

“webRequest”  “webRequestBlocking” permissions
Needed f authenticating access to your vault.

“stage” permission
Used to ste  retrieve settings data used by the extension.

Norton Password Manager插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 Norton Password ManagerChrome插件v8.0.1.29版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
