WikiPop插件描述

Displays view count infmation on all Wikipedia articles. When the user navigates to a Wikipedia article, an embedded plot will open on the right side of the page showing the volume, 12day moving average,  26day moving average of views f the past several months. An average view/day item is also calculated  presented to the user. All fmatting  styling is as close to that found natively on Wikipedia as possible.

When viewing an article pertaining to a movie  TV show, data will be scraped from IMDb  added to the frame, such as rating, volume, MPAA infmation  me. Similarly, data scraped from Goodreads is presented when viewing an article f a novel  series. When viewing an article f a cryptocurrency the current ticker price (along with some extra data) will be scraped from CoinMarketCap.

All trending articles (the top 1,000 viewed) from the pri day can be displayed via the button embedded on the lefth side of the page, when on Wikipedia.

The popularity infmation pane can be hidden using the Hide Frame button  redisplayed using Exp Frame.

All data is fetched onthefly from the Wikimedia API. View data going back several years can be downloaded using the download button located within the frame.

(0.0.1.0) IMDB logo is now clickable, me accurate ratings (movie/tv shows are me frequently matched to their crect counterparts on IMDB, turns out there are a lot me "Shawshank Redemption"s out there than youd think).

(0.0.0.4) When visiting articles pertaining to films  TV shows, the current IMDB rating will also be displayed in the info box.

(0.0.0.3) Min bug fix (extension was disabled by default).

(0.0.0.2) Added options page, can disable extension using this. Changed moving averages from 12 & 26 to 7 & 50.

WikiPop插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 WikiPopChrome插件v1.0.5.0版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
