This Search Belt extension sets your default search engine to SearchBelt.com.

Our motto/mission with this search engine is to help Christians equip the full arm of God (Ephesians 6). The online ecosystem is secular by design,  driving a Christian search engine through a secular wld can be quite helpful in finding truth, maintaining righteousness,  practicing stewardship of resources.

Stewardship


Do you use your money, resources,  time in such a way that furthers Gods kingdom? Im not just talking about donating money, Im talking about suppting people  businesses that seem to espouse Christian values.

With Search Belt, there is no promise that every end result you click on will be a Christian ganization, at least not outright. But we do employ sophisticated ranking systems to greatly increase the likelihood this happens. These ranking systems will continue to be employed  bolstered over time.


Righteousness


The internet is a vast resource that encompasses human greatness  human degeneracy. Godly wisdom,  earthly sin. The challenge f Christians is knowing the difference befe we click. Sometimes its not obvious which is which,  the very temptation to click on a sinful headline is something we are called to avoid. As Matthew 26 says, "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak", so I say dont give your flesh the chance to contradict your spirit.

We do not promise using this service you will never see the st of content that is antithetical to your faith. There are billions of pieces of content on the web,  we cannot manually sift through all of the content. Furtherme, there are some websites we do not want to ban but may contain some disagreeable content. F instance, you can find adult content on Wikipedia  Reddit, but these sites also contain a lot of great infmation.

However, there are a few things we do to make the likelihood of stumbling upon that content by accident a lot me difficult.

F instance, all maj search engines have a certain safesearch setting, I was joking around about what to refer to this toggle as when writing this with my wife,  came up with a few funny names f it. Three of the funniest options "temptation toggle", "the devils dropdown",  "satans search setting". Whatever you call it, we dont have it. Safe search is always on.

Secondarily, we manually find websites  user repts on our contact page to remove pages from our entire search engine when they dont seem to have any redeemable content.

Third, we derank pages (they are still in the index but less likely to be first page  top of first page) that contain language  content types as we see fit.

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 Search Belt - Christian Search EngineChrome插件v3.3.4版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
