Streak Developer Tools (f BigQuery)


The Streak BigQuery Developer Tools (SBDT) is a chrome extension that currently adds functionality to BigQuery (see features below)  in the future will add other tools used internally at Streak.com

BigQuery Tools


1. Graph Results of a Query

The SBDT extension lets you graph the results of a query. The button appears next to the download as csv button. It currently only graphs the current results on screen, in a future release it will graph all results. It expects the first column to be a date  every other column after that to be a number.

2. Query Across Datasets

Simply select "Query Dataset"  the query box will be filled in f you with all the tables in the dataset.

3.Show Cost of Each Query

Added the ability to see how much each query that you ran costs. Once the query completes, we added the cost (in US cents) next to the summary status of the query. The cost is calculated based on $0.035/GB processed.


4. Exp Multiline Results

The SDT allows you to click on any result row  exp it to show multiline strings. Simply click on the row number in the results table to toggle multiline on  off.

In der to put multiline strings into BigQuery, make sure that your line endings are \r  not \n as those arent suppted by BigQuery.


5. Automatically Convert Timestamps to Human Readable Fmat

AppEngine  BigQuery ste timestamps as epoch time which is great f computers  computation, but not so good f a human to read. The extension automatically finds, parses  replaces epoch timestamps with a human friendly date/time rendering.

6. Insert All Columns into SELECT Statements


Sometimes you want to select every column in your query but typing each of them out manually takes time especially f tables with a large number of columns. In the schema description f a table, youll see a new yellow field called "Add All Columns" which you can press to insert all of the column names into your query.
                                

Streak BigQuery Developer Tools插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 Streak BigQuery Developer ToolsChrome插件v3.6版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
