WebSatchel allows users to save  ste copies of webpages onto the cloud.

Unlike traditional bookmarking WebSatchel does not save just the link to a particular webpage, instead it creates a full copy of the webpage allowing the user to permanently have access to the infmation in the exact fmat that it was saved.

The purpose of WebSatchel is to allow users to create a personal internet database. Its a place where you can copy anything you feel is imptant  has any kind of value  grow it over time. It should be viewed as a companion to your browsing experience.


Once a page has been saved it can be viewed on the WebSatchel website under the “My Satchel” tab (Note: you must be logged in to see this tab  to save pages. Creating an account is free).

There is also a great emphasis on searching/ganization. WebSatchel indexes every wd on the saved webpage regardless if you save the whole page  just save the link. This makes searching f your saved pages really easy using our builtin search engine because you dont need to remember the title of a page  just any single relevant wd  phrase would do.

Tags are used f me efficient ganization once your satchel gets up to a few hundred pages. Also, since the link version still indexes every wd on the saved webpage this makes it superi to regular bookmarking even though you are only saving the link since regular bookmarking doesnt index anything beyond the title of the page.

Apart from just allowing users to save pages WebSatchel also allows you to save the links to all your open tabs into a collection that can be opened back up at any time on any device. Even if only a link is saved, all the text is still indexed just like it would be if the entire page was saved. This is a significantly superi option to conventional bookmarking which does not index every wd on the page  instead only indexes the page’s title at most. This makes searching f a particular saved link much easier.

WebSatchel is also designed f users to save lots of web pages. Free users get 1 gigabyte of stage which is enough space to save hundreds of average webpages so don’t be shy about saving any webpage that might be of any use to you. Always better to be safe than sry after all. Additionally, WebSatchel allows you to modify the pages that you save by highlighting the infmation that is most imptant to you. This makes finding the infmation even easier on the page that you save.

All saved pages are encrypted. The only person who can access your saved pages is YOU.

WebSatchel is constantly improving  finding me ways to make saving pages an easier  smoother experience. New updates are scheduled in the coming months.

WebSatchel - Your personal web archive！插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 WebSatchel - Your personal web archive！Chrome插件v2.1.1版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
