Introduction

This project aims to add an additional layer of infmation  functionality to the Mintos P2P investment website, through a Chrome Extension. The project is driven by a group of fmer students from the Copenhagen University of Computer Science (DIKU), who likes to wk with investments. The extension was iginally an internal tool we used, to fix weird visuals  add additional infmation on loans, on the Mintos website, to improve our experience. From here it has grown  has now been fully released to the public. F a feature list, please see the images above  the section below. Some key points about the extension are:

 The extension does add additional infmation to various pages.
 The extension does change the cosmetic of the website in a few places.
 The extension does allow f features to be turned on  off individually.
 The extension does run directly in your Chrome browser.
 The extension does provide full opensource code f transparency.



Featurelist

    In Overview:
    • Hide unused  empty rows.
    • Show a percentage column f Account Balance  My Investments.
    • Highlight negative numbers in red.
    • Switch the radio buttons to a real button.
    • Gray out news articles that you already read.
    • Break down different campaign rewards.

    In Account Statement:
    • Show four decimals f numbers instead of two.
    • Adds an alltime filter option.

    In Current Investments:
    • Show a column with the loans country.
    • Show a column with days to next planned payment.
    • Highlight late loans in a red background.
    • Show the premium  discount percent, in the sell text.
    • Make loan types links f filtering the search.

    In Finished Investments:
    • Show a column with the loans country.
    • Show a column with profit made f a finished loan.
    • Show a column with the duration you held the loan.
    • Make loan types links f filtering the search.

    In Loan Infmation:
    • Show a row with the loans country.
    • Show a row with days to next payment.
    • Show a row with the ontime payment percentage.
    • Show a row with total time in grace f the payments.
    • Fmat the loan breakdown table properly.
    • Show the ExpleP2P rating f that loan iginat.
    • Show a warning f high aged browers.
    • Show a warning f low ontime payment histy.
    • Show a warning f unemployed browers.

    In Auto Invest:
    • Colour auto invest strategies based on utilization.
    • Show a utilization column.



Transparency

The full sourcecode is available at the GitHub code reposity, which can be found under this sites website infmation. The reposity itself is not intended f public use, but it does also serve as a way to provide an additional layer of transparency. Trust is an imptant aspect when it comes to investments,  we do encourage people to perfm a full audit of our source code,  even download  run the unpacked extension locally. If you do not have the technical experience to perfm such an audit, but still want to ensure that what you are running is not malicious, then feel free to send the reposity to someone who does. The code is written in plain JavaScript with a small amount of CSS  HTML,  as so, should be fairly trivial to underst. The following are imptant aspects in regards to trust:

 The extension does not monetize in any way, it is entirely free.
 The extension does not automate  perfm any action f you.
 The extension does not falsely alter any infmation displayed.
 The extension does not ste  send any infmation about you.
 The extension does not require any login  user infmation.



Limitations

As this is a Chrome extension, it only runs in a Chrome Browser,  there is no plans to create a similar product f other browsers. F the same reason, this will not wk on a mobile phone, so when viewing Mintos elsewhere, it will just look nmal. At the moment, the extension is only suppted in the following languages: English, Polish, German  Czechish. If you use Mintos in another language, the extension wont do anything. If you are able to help translate a few things into Latvian, Russian  Spanish, please reach out to us!



Installation

There are two ways to get this extension to wk:

 1. You can download it directly through the Chrome ste page available here. By using this method, you can use the builtin Chrome Extension installer,  it will add the extension directly to your browser, with no setup required. Doing it this way takes less time  you can get subsequent updates easier. After a page refresh, the extension should run.

 2. If you prefer a me hson  higher transparency approach, you are me than welcome to perfm a manual install from the source code. You can download the source code directly from this reposity  perfm a full audit. If you are satisfied you can then open Chrome to the extensions page  load it in, as an unpacked extension. This way is a bit me difficult to setup,  disables automatic updates  but we did want to provide this method f better security.

Investment Extensions： Mintos插件离线安装方法

1.首先用户点击谷歌浏览器右上角的自定义及控制按钮，在下拉框中选择设置。

2.在打开的谷歌浏览器的扩展管理器最左侧选择扩展程序或直接输入：chrome://extensions/

3.找到自己已经下载好的Chrome离线安装文件xxx.crx，然后将其从资源管理器中拖动到Chrome的扩展管理界面中，这时候用户会发现在扩展管理器的中央部分中会多出一个”拖动以安装“的插件按钮。

4.下载 Investment Extensions： MintosChrome插件v2.0.1版本到本地。

5.勾选开发者模式，点击加载已解压的扩展程序，将文件夹选择即可安装插件。

注意：最新版本的chrome浏览器直接拖放安装时会出现“程序包无效CRX-HEADER-INVALID”的报错信息，参照这篇文章即可解决
